A celebrated entrepreneur and businesswoman behind domestic and commercial cleaning company Mrs Bucket Cleaning Services, has been honoured in a list of influential Welsh women.
Rachael Flanagan, the founder of the award-winning firm, was among those recognised by the Women’s Equality Network Wales (WEN) in its prestigious list of 100 Welsh Women.
The list, which marks the centenary of the Representation of the People Act 1918, includes monumental women from past and present day, celebrating the successes and contributions of notable Welsh nominees.
One of these influential women will be immortalised as a statue in central Cardiff later this year following the results of a public vote.
The managing director of Mrs Bucket said she was delighted to be included among nominees of this calibre. She said: “I’m honoured to be included in such an inspirational list of Welsh women. The list is an incredible showcase of women in Wales, both historical and living, and I’m humbled to be in such great company.
“At 18, I had the ambition to start my own business and I still work diligently to provide first class customer service, deliver high standards and embrace innovative technology to enhance Mrs Bucket’s offering.
“What started with £20 of flyers has turned into a multimillion pound business, and being included in this list of empowering women is just the cherry on top of an already wonderful story.”
The list comes on the back of a string of successes for the award-winning company, as it recently celebrated £400k in new contract wins during its first quarter and welcomed ex- international rugby star Paul Thorburn to its team as Business Development Consultant.
