We’re thrilled to announce that Paul Thorburn, ex international rugby player and former Wales captain, has joined us at Mrs Bucket HQ to support the next stage of our expansion.
At Mrs Bucket, we’re always looking at ways to improve our services and grow our presence across the country, which means having a strong, talented team in place. We’ve recruited the star as we look to grow our commercial cleaning division in both Wales and the south west of England.
Mr Thorburn is one of Wales’ most prolific former rugby players. During his career, he played for Neath RFC and Wales, during which time he secured the record for the longest successful kick in an international test match, a record he still retains to this day.
After his playing career ended in 1991, he stayed in rugby, working for the Welsh Rugby Union and Ospreys, before leaving to pursue other business interests.
He now works with various organisations in an advisory capacity and has teamed up Mrs Bucket as Development Consultant to help grow the commercial division, which works with manufacturing businesses, professional service firms, medical surgeries and facilities management companies
Rachael Flanagan, managing director of Mrs Bucket, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Paul to the team. He has a great network of contacts and a natural flair for developing relationships. We’re sure he’s going to be a wonderful asset to the team as we continue to drive the business forward.
“As our business matures, we’re evolving our strategy and focusing on particular sectors in Wales, such as manufacturing, professional services and facilities management. Our professional approach to cleaning continues to resonate with businesses and we retain very high customer satisfaction levels, so we’re confident Paul has a strong basis to help us grow even further.”
Discussing his new role, Mr Thorburn said: “Mrs Bucket has gone from strength to strength over the last decade, and I’m looking forward to joining the team on their exciting journey.
“Over the past ten years, Rachael has grown the company from a domestic cleaning company to a full-service cleaning company with offices in Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol. With over 300 employees and over 250 clients, both Rachael and the company have a stellar reputation, and I’m excited to get stuck in.”
