An award-winning cleaning company has appointed a new area manager for its Bristol office, which opened at the end of 2015.
Following a successful start to 2016, Mrs Bucket Cleaning Services has appointed Katharine Terrett to grow the company’s commercial offering in the South West.
Ms Terrett, 46 from Scotland, joins the growing company with over 25 years’ management experience.
In her new role, she will focus on business development to increase the commercial client base in the region alongside overseeing the recruitment of Mrs Bucket’s growing team of cleaners in the area.
Mrs Bucket was set up in November 2005 by Rachael Flanagan when she was 18, with just a vacuum cleaner and £20 which she spent on promotional flyers.
Over the past decade, Mrs Bucket has expanded from a one-woman domestic cleaning service to a full-service commercial and domestic cleaning company with offices in Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol.
With 300 employees and over 250 domestic and commercial clients along the M4 corridor, Mrs Bucket’s turnover has now reached £3.5 million.
The award-winning cleaning company works across a variety of businesses in sectors including retail, the legal sector and engineering, and has clients including Aston Martin and Dawnus.
Katharine Terrett said: “For me, this is an amazing opportunity to further my management skills with a fantastic company.
“In the next 12 months I hope to increase our number of commercial clients in the South West and build a great team around me. I want to learn all I can about the industry and create a busy, successful and profitable division.
“Mrs Bucket aims to be the professional cleaners of choice for as many companies as possible and be the go to company for dedicated professional cleaners. I can’t wait to see more Mrs Bucket vehicles on the roads!”
Rachael Flanagan, founder of Mrs Bucket said: “This is an exciting time for Mrs Bucket, and we are thrilled that Katharine has joined the team.
“Her enthusiasm and determination, along with her extensive management experience, is already adding so much value to organisation, and she is very well suited to this fast-paced and challenging role.
“I am looking forward to working with her and developing our position in the Bristol market-place.”
